About
MIKE LAVALLEE
Music Programmer
I've spent more than 15 years in radio programming, working across formats including CHR, Hot AC, and Classic Hits.
Early on, I thought music programming was mostly about choosing songs.
Over time, I realized it was really about shaping the experience those songs created together.
That's what I'm interested in now.
How a station reveals itself over a short stretch of listening.
Whether the identity is clear.
Whether the momentum holds.
Whether everything feels like it belongs together.
Listening Window is where I explore those ideas through observations, station monitors, and writing on listener experience.
I'm always interested in conversations about programming, curation, and how audio products are experienced.
